He raises money for good causes, founded the Team Hill Charitable Trust and is an ambassador for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Steve received an MBE for services to education and charity, recognising his dedication to making a difference locally and further afield
    • Steve will then lead the awards section of our evening when we'll learn more about our fabulous finalists and unveil our nine winners.
  • 10.30pm until late: dance the night away with our DJ. Our private bar will be open for drinks and accepts cash or card payment.

This year's venue offers a set menu for all guests, with a vegetarian/vegan alternative and dietary adaptations as needed. You can specify your dietary requirements in the RSVP form (link provided in your invite).

Unfortunately, it's not possible to mix and match courses. If you'd prefer to have the vegetarian meal, please specify vegetarian in the dietary section of your RSVP form.

Please get in touch at the details below if you'd like to discuss your dietary requirements.

Visit the Midland Hotel website for directions and travel information.

Please note:

  • This information is for guidance only. Please ensure you check and plan ahead for your journey.

  • There can be severe delays travelling into the city at this time of year, so please allow plenty of time.

  • If you’d like to travel with a colleague, visit our staff intranet to connect with others heading to the event.

If you need accommodation for the event, you can book a bedroom directly through the hotel’s website using promotional code CONFERENCE272.

The code gives you 16% off the current room rate and can be used for either room only or bed and breakfast bookings.

Please note:

  • The code can only be used when booking directly through the hotel’s website, not through third-party websites such as Booking.com.
  • You can book more than one room using the code, up to a maximum of 10 rooms per booking.
  • Free cancellation is available until 2pm on the day before arrival.
  • Any cancellations or changes must be made by the person who made the booking, using their booking confirmation.
  • Hotel room rates vary depending on demand and availability, so the discounted price may also change.
  • The promotional code cannot be used alongside any other promotion or member discount.

To make sure you're getting the best price, you're encouraged to compare prices online before booking direct.

The dress code is smart, but what that looks like is up to you.

This is the perfect opportunity to wear something special that makes you feel great! But, whether you choose to dress up or keep things simple, the choice is yours.

Black tie and sparkles are optional but very welcome.

In previous years, some guests have experienced a delay when travelling to our event; particularly those travelling by car or taxi.

If you're running late, please don't worry.

If you miss the welcome drinks, details of where to find your table number and collect your drink token will be left on the signing in table.
