NHS Oldham Talking Therapies is for people over the age of 16 years, who are registered with a GP in Oldham. We were previously called Oldham Healthy Minds.

We offer support and treatment if you're experiencing low mood, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief, and sleep difficulties.

We can help you deal with the effects of a long-term health condition, chronic pain, or post natal depression, We also offer couples therapy if you are struggling in your relationships, and psychosexual therapy for any intimacy difficulties.

Everyone who wishes to access the service will be invited to seminars to introduce the service and explain what we can offer, as well as learning strategies and techniques to use while waiting for treatment.

  • Couples counselling
  • Psychodynamic therapy

  • Parent and baby wellbeing
  • Loss and adjustment
  • Emotional skills
  • Recovering from childhood trauma

Making a referral

We offer a guided self-help program called SilverCloud, where you can instantly access materials which have been shown to have a positive impact on depression, anxiety and stress.

You will be supported by a psychological wellbeing practitioner to work through the program, which you can access from any device as often as you want. Once you have completed the program, you will still be able to access the information for up to a year.
