The Oldham older people's community mental health team is now known as the Oldham older people's specialist mental health team. We are part of the Oldham neighbourhood mental health service.
We support older people with severe and enduring mental health issues, both organic and functional illnesses.
To be referred to us, you must be open to the older people's consultant psychiatrist. Referrals are made via the single point of entry.
We offer assessments to identify your needs and design support plans to best meet your needs.
This can include arranging services to support you to remain as independent as possible. We can also arrange financial assessments, as there can be charges for services.
We are based at The Royal Oldham Hospital, but we will usually visit you at home or a place we agree and arrange together.
