Criminal Justice Mental Health Service

Our criminal justice mental health team covers the boroughs of Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside and Stockport.

We offer advice, assessments, risk assessment, and provide some short term interventions if you have mental health problems and have committed an offence, or show signs of offending behaviour. We also provide a service for vulnerable adults who are referred by Greater Manchester Police.

This could include access to appropriate services and diversion away from the criminal justice services.

We work with mental health services, social care, the police, the courts, prisons, probation services and others to try to obtain the best and fairest pathway for you, while ensuring that public protection remains a priority.
