Thanks to the 44 fabulous people who took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, raising £13,000 for our Pennine Care Charity.

Yorkshire Three Peaks 2026.jpgOn Sunday 17 May 2026, they completed the tough 24-mile route in under 12 hours, climbing a total of 1,585 metres across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

The funds raised will support a range of projects to improve staff wellbeing and enhance patient care. This includes plans for music therapy sessions on Ramsbottom ward, improving how we engage with carers, and sensory boxes for people supported by the older adult home intervention team.

Louise Harney was one of our super supporters and said:

“It was a surreal experience with spectacular views, and for such an amazing cause. I met some amazing colleagues who helped get me through the challenge and who I will certainly remember forever, as I couldn’t have done it without them.”

Wes Partington, Pennine Care Charity Director, said:"Thanks to all staff and supporters who took part. Your dedication, teamwork and commitment have raised an incredible amount, which will make a real difference to our patients and services. The impact of your efforts will be felt long after the peaks have been conquered."
