Thank you to Pennine Care Charity supporters who have raised over £11,500 together, through two fundraising challenges this October.

On Sunday 3 October, 15 fantastic fundraisers completed the 13.1-mile Manchester Half Marathon, raising more than £8,000 between them.

A special shout-out goes to Ruth Sanderson, who raised more than £1,500, making her the charity's highest fundraiser on the day.

Ruth said: "Completing the Manchester Half Marathon was a challenge, but knowing I was raising money for such an important cause kept me going.

"The support from family, friends and colleagues was amazing, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who donated. I'm proud to have played a part in helping Pennine Care Charity continue making a difference."

The following weekend saw 11 fundraisers take on Tough Mudder in Cheshire, raising more than £3,500 by completing a gruelling obstacle course.

Everyone put a lot of time and effort into training and preparing, and it was great to see that commitment result in so much being raised for a good cause."

Together, the two challenges have raised more than £11,500 for mental health projects and service improvements beyond NHS funding.
