Greater Manchester children and young people’s mental health provider collaborative team raised £1,200 for Pennine Care Charity with a 500-mile walking charity.

Mental Health Provider Collaborative 500 miles challenge.jpgThe team laced up their walking boots and completed a collective distance of 500 miles throughout the month of January.

The collaborative supports specialist inpatient mental health services for children and young people across Greater Manchester, working closely with Greater Manchester Mental Health, Manchester Foundation Trust, and independent providers Cygnet and The Priory.

Their challenge reflects the same dedication and teamwork they bring to supporting young people every day.

Julie Bell, programme manager, said: “This money will make a real positive difference, as we know how much support the young people on our wards need and the great lengths colleagues go to every day to ensure they have meaningful activities and a suitable and therapeutic environment around them.”

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, cheered them on, or donated. Your steps and your support will help create brighter experiences for young people across our services.
