We’ve launched new crisis resolution home treatment teams, following £4 million of funding.

The teams are available 24/7 for adults under 65 across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale Stockport, Tameside and Glossop.

They provide rapid assessment and intensive support at home or in the community.

They help to avoid unnecessary hospital admission, work with partners to ensure ongoing support after a crisis, and also oversee hospital admissions and support timely discharge.

Emma and Becca.jpgBecca Tenney (pictured right) is a lived experience rep who helped us to develop the teams and ensure they best meet people's needs.

Becca said: “I’ve enjoyed helping develop the new services, I know how important it is to access help quickly in a crisis.

"It’s empowering to see our knowledge and experience shaping improvements, helping people access support sooner and allowing staff to provide the care people need during some of the hardest moments of their lives”.

Emma Tong (pictured left), Stockport team manager, added: "Our new approach will strengthen the way we support people experiencing a mental health crisis.

"It’ll help us be more responsive, improve communication, and work with others more effectively, so we can provide safe, timely and person-centred care when people need us most.”
