Healthy Minds is for people over the age of 16 years, who are registered with a GP in the Stockport area.

We offer support and treatment if you're experiencing symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, low mood, stress, worry or anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or panic attacks.

It can also help you to deal with the effects of a long-term health problem or chronic pain, post natal depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, or eating difficulties.

With help and support, these feelings and symptoms can be managed, guiding you to a successful recovery.

Our service is made up of a range of professionals including therapists and counsellors, who will find a level of treatment that is right for you. This could be a group workshop, an online or telephone based course of self-help treatment, or an individual therapy session.

We work in partnership with self-help services and Beacon, in line with our partnership working you may receive an assessment or treatment via their service - which can decrease waiting times. You have the right to opt-out of being seen by self-help services, please state this request in your referral.

Update on our service during the coronavirus outbreak

We're working hard so we can keep supporting you through this difficult time.

Instead of face-to-face appointments or groups, we will be offering support via telephone. We can also refer you to an online self-help programme SilverCloud, via some of the other services we work with.

You may find it more difficult to get through to us, but please bear with us.

We hope you and your family are staying as safe and well as possible, and we're sorry for any inconvenience.

You can access the Healthy Minds service by completing the online form so we can get in touch.

Alternatively, you can speak to your GP or other health professional.

If you have any questions about the service, please contact us.

If you find that your distress is out of control and you need immediate help, please find a list of numbers to keep you safe.
