Rochdale east community mental health team is now known as Rochdale east specialist mental health team. We are part of the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale neighbourhood mental health service.

We provide assessment, treatment and care to people with severe and enduring mental health needs, such as schizophrenia, severe affective disorder, or a complex personality disorder.

We can support you if you are between 18 to 65 years of age, unless your needs would be best met by the older adult community mental health team.

Our team covers Rochdale east, we also have a team covering Rochdale west and a team covering Heywood and Middleton.

We offer an assessment which looks at your physical health, mental wellbeing, and social environment for up to 16 weeks. We can also offer longer-term support under the care programme approach, where you will be allocated a key worker.

We work alongside adult social care colleagues, so we can support your health and social care needs, as set out by The Care Act 2014.

We aim to provide the highest quality care to support your recovery, which focuses on your strengths and helps you to live and an independent and fulfilling life.

We also help carers of people who are looked after by our team.
