Like everyone else we were saddened to hear the news that Bury Football Club has been expelled from the English Football League. The Shakers were at the heart of the local community, with many people never missing a match.

Bury FC.jpgLiz Woodings, Bury Healthy Minds service manager, said about the uncertain future of the football club:

“With Bury FC playing such a big role in many people’s lives, strong emotional reactions are completely understandable. It’s normal to feel very upset in circumstances like this because it’s such a big loss to our local community and identity.

"It’s important to take the time to look after yourself when you’re feeling down or struggling with feelings of grief or loss.”
