Excellent news today as our colleagues are shortlisted for two Nursing Times Awards.

Libby Delamare.jpgFirstly well done to Libby Delamare, charge nurse at Hope Unit, for reaching the finals of the Nursing in Mental Health category.

This is for Libby’s inspiring work to involve and engage young people in their care with creativity and compassion.

Libby, who joined us in 2017 as a newly qualified nurse, has developed individual care workbooks with amazing designs and imagery, drawing on both her nursing and creative skills.

Libby told us: “I am really grateful and overwhelmed to be shortlisted."

And secondly well done to our learning disabilities team, who are shortlisted for the Learning Disabilities Nursing category.

Learning disability team giving vaccine.jpgThis nomination is for their work to help people with learning disabilities across Greater Manchester get their covid vaccine.

Some of these people were otherwise unable to attend a vaccination centre, so the team’s efforts have really helped to keep people safe from covid.

Good luck to you all.
