Two of our most senior leaders are being recognised for their influence beyond Pennine Care.

Anthony at MMU .jpgAnthony Hassall, our chief executive, has been appointed a Visiting Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University.

The honorary role recognises his leadership across the NHS and his commitment to partnership working, innovation and improving care.

As a Visiting Professor, Anthony will help strengthen links between the university and health and care organisations, supporting education, research, workforce development and the future of mental health care.

Professor Janet Lord, deputy pro-vice-chancellor for education at Manchester Met, said:

“Anthony has always led with compassion, integrity and a commitment to improving lives. His ability to bring people together across health, care and education has made a real difference, and we are delighted to welcome him.”

Claudette Elliott, our chair, is helping inspire the next generation of NHS leaders as part of a national campaign encouraging people to become non-executive directors.

By sharing her experience, she is encouraging people from all backgrounds to bring their skills, experience and fresh perspectives to NHS boards.

Claudette said: “As a non-executive director, it is a privilege to work alongside fellow board members who are committed to improving the wellbeing of our patients, families, communities and staff.”
