Bury Podiatry Service
A Podiatrist is a specialist in providing a comprehensive foot health service that includes diagnosis management and treatment of lower limb and foot dysfunction and associated pathologies with a particular focus on complex foot conditions
Podiatrists work in partnership with patients, their carers, primary and secondary health care teams to promote foot health, help people live more independently and minimise the risk of amputation for people with advanced foot complications.
About our service
Patients meeting the access criteria will be routed to the appropriate pathway within the team.
More specifically, the service will provide the following:
- New patient assessment clinics
- High risk wound care
- Managed care clinics (this is a step down clinic from the high risk pathway)
- MSK (musculoskeletal) for complex foot conditions
- A daily triage session of referrals
- Nail surgery
The service does not provide routine foot care such as nail cutting, fungal nails, Verrucae, corns and callus debridement, in patients who are otherwise healthy.
Care is delivered at clinics across the borough including , Townside Primary care centre, Radlciffe Primary Care centre and Pretwich Health centre.
A limited home-based service is available for people who meet the house bound criteria.
Emergency drop in clinics are available to existing patients every Tuesday and wednesday pm 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Radcliffe Primary Care Centre. Wednesdays 09.00-11.30 am and 1.30pm . Townside drop in mon and thurs am 09.00 to 11.30.

9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Some early morning appointments are available.
