We officially launched the NHS rainbow badge today at our LGBT History Month celebration in Oldham.
The badge is just one way to show that we’re an open, non-judgemental and inclusive place for those who identify as LGBT+ (lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender).
If you see one of our staff wearing the badge it means they’ve completed dedicated LGBT awareness training, which helps to better understand and support the needs of our LGBT communities.
We’ll be offering more training in the coming months, so look out for more of our Pennine Care people wearing the badges!
