Tameside young people's mental health support team - thrive in education

We help children and teenagers, aged four to 18, who are experiencing low level emotional and behavioural difficulties, such as worry or low mood.

Our aim is to help you reach your full potential, by offering the right support, in the right place, at the right time.

We offer various types of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural informed therapy (which helps to positively change thoughts and behaviour), counselling and sport or art-based therapy.

For parents, we can help you understand your child’s difficulties.

We can also offer training and guidance for staff at school.

We (Pennine Care) run the service in partnership with local charities 42nd Street,  Active Tameside, Youth in Mind (part of Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind), Tameside Education Psychological Service and Off The Record.

Our team is currently based in 39 schools across the borough and we work closely with school staff and parents, to make sure young people benefit from joined-up support.

We’re here all year round, including school holidays.

Please speak to your / your child's teacher, or the school’s mental health lead about how our service can help you.
