Community-based Eating Disorders Service (South)

The Community-based Eating Disorders Service (CEDS) provides dedicated care and support to children and young people with an eating disorder.

It can also offer advice and support to families, carers and anyone who works with a child or young person.

The Eating Disorders Service is part of Pennine Care’s Healthy Young Minds Service (formerly Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service – CAMHS).

The service launched in early July 2016 and is being rolled out in a phased approach.

During the first phase (July to September 2016), the service can accept new referrals for young people aged 16 to 18 years.  Anyone aged under 16 years and existing clients of any age will continue to be seen by their borough-based Healthy Young Minds Service.

Those aged 16 to 18 can refer themselves or get someone they trust to make the referral on their behalf.
