We are a 45 bed unit for men aged 18 to 65.
We provide a pathway of recovery for people who have diagnosed psychotic disorder, for example schizophrenia, and have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Many will also be misusing drugs and/or alcohol.
We have three distinct wards, staffed by a skilled and well-established multi-disciplinary team supporting a clearly defined and structured pathway of recovery.
We have a two year recovery pathway.
We also offer an innovative Buddy and Peer Support Worker Scheme where new arrivals are paired up with more experienced residents.
Since 2012, the unit has supported 96 per cent of service users to be discharged to lower secure services
Of these, 54 per cent achieved discharge prior to the end of their planned care pathway
