Physical activity and health training

Health Trainers support people to develop healthier behaviours and lifestyles in their own communities.

They offer practical support to change their behaviour to achieve their own choices and goals.

The ability to motivate people is a key part of the work of the health trainers, who see people on a one to one basis.  Through the service they offer a programme of exercise sessions, aimed at sedentary people, at subsidised rates.

Weight management

Through a combination of individual and group support, the service aims to help people lose weight at a steady pace, through healthy eating, portion size, reading food labels, exercise and help with stress and confidence issues.
