Tameside Liaison Mental Health Service (formerly RAID)

Our Tameside liaison mental health service is made up of staff who support adults who attend A&E and staff who support older people who have been admitted to a ward.
 
Support for adults in accident and emergency

Our adult accident and emergency liaison mental health staff support adults who attend the accident and emergency department at Tameside General Hospital and need mental health support.  We also provide a service to GPs, offering an urgent mental health assessment to patients

The team is only able to accept referrals from a hospital professional or a GP.

Support for older people admitted to a ward

Our older people's liasion mental health staff support older people have been admitted to a ward and who need mental health support.  They also provide mental health training to hospital staff.

The team is only able to accept referrals from a hospital professional.

They are available seven days a week, from 9am to 5pm (including Bank Holidays):
