Principles of Care Awards 2016
The Principles of Care awards have been held annually by Pennine Care for the last four years.
Earlier this year staff helped to refine and refresh the original Principles of Care into the new-look Trust values, therefore 2016 was the last 'Principles of Care Awards' and a different staff awards scheme will launch in 2016.
2016 Principles of Care Awards
Staff from divisions across Pennine Care have been recognised for the outstanding care they provide in the Trust’s annual awards ceremony.
Eight teams were recognised in the Principles of Care Awards for demonstrating excellent quality care and keeping patients at the heart of everything they do.
A short film showing the excellent work of each of the winning teams was shown at the Trust’s Annual General Meeting on 28 September and Trust Chairman John Schofield announced Healthy Minds Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale BME Working Group as the overall winners with Stockport Young Onset Dementia team as runners up.
Teams nominated themselves for the awards and the winners in each division were voted on by staff from across the Trust.
The other winning teams were:
- Stockport Young Onset Dementia Team
- Children's Community Nursing Team - Bury
- Recruitment Team
- Paediatric Physiotherapy Service - Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale
- Oldham East District Nursing Team
- Healthy Young Minds Stockport
- Trafford School Nurses
The Principles of Care Awards recognise the way services embody the Trust’s 10 Principles of Care which include providing safe and effective services, meaningful and individualised care and clear and open communication between staff, patients and families.
