Medicines management
Medicines are a central component in the delivery of high quality healthcare and contribute significantly to achieving successful outcomes in patient care.
Medicines management has two key components: the clinical and cost effective use of medicines and the safe and secure handling of medicines.
The goal of medicines management is to optimise the use of medicines by promoting cost effective and evidence based practice and effective risk management.
