Delivering high quality care
Providing high quality care for patients is our top priority and underpins everything we do here at Pennine Care. We have a strong track record in delivering services that are safe and high in quality across all of our community and mental health services.
The Trust-wide Quality Group is responsible for developing the Trust's overarching Quality Strategy and ensuring we achieve our strategic aims and quality priorities. The Group also monitors compliance with the Care Quality Commission and ensures services meet the five domains of delivering care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Every year we are required to identify three top priorities for quality.
Consultation on our priorities has included discussions with the Board, clinicians, operational managers, Council of Governors, service users and carers, and our wider staff from both mental health and community services.
The views of patients, service users and carers have also been considered through a number of consultation and engagement events.
The three quality priorities for 2015/16 are:
- Priority 1: Sign up for Safety – Patient Safety
- Priority 2: Suicide Prevention – Patient Experience
- Priority 3: Admission Avoidance – Clinical Effectiveness
You can find out more about our quality priorities within the Quality Account, contained within the Annual Report.
