Fantastic festive fundraising at Taylor Ward
The team from Taylor Ward in Tameside raised a fantastic £560 for national charity Save the Children. Over the course of a fun-filled day, the staff hosted a luxury hamper raffle, bake sale and buffet lunch for service users and their relatives and carers.
The festive spirit didn't stop there, as the occupational therapy team made Christmas t-shirts with the patients, which they all wore during the day.
Ward Manager, Berni Connelly, is massively proud of all the staff who made the day such a success. A special mention must go to Terrie Mitchell, whose amazing organisational skills and hard work was hugely appreciated by all involved.
Berni said “It was very much a team effort, but driven by the hard work and organisational skills of Terrie. I think she deserves a lot of the credit for the success of the day. The team pulled out all the stops to ensure that our patients and their families had a good day.
“It's been a tough year on the ward, so I can't tell you how proud I am of the team for all their hard work and effort.”
“I’d also like to say a big thank you to all the staff and relatives who contributed items for the luxury hampers, donated items for the bake sale and helped organise the day.”
