Celebrating 3,600 years of staff dedication
We held our annual Long Service Awards to celebrate the hard work of our staff who reached a combined 3600 years of service.
144 staff picked up an award this year for working 20, 30 or 40 years continuously within the NHS.
Evelyn Asante-Mensah, Chair, and Daniel Benjamin, Non-Executive Director, held a ceremony at Norton Grange Hall in Rochdale, to present certificates and vouchers to staff as thanks for their commitment.
The award winners are based across our Trust's footprint; Bury, Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR), Oldham, Stockport, Tameside and Glossop, and Trafford.
Justine Beach, Human Resource Business Partner based in Bury, picked up her award for 20 years’ service. She said: “I enjoy the development opportunities available in the NHS, personally as well as professionally, and I believe the NHS provides excellent training and support.
There is always a good network of people on hand to discuss issues with. It always feels like you are part of a big family working towards the same goal of striving for quality.”
Jane Grundy, Senior Dental Nurse based within HMR, received her 40 year service award. She said: “I have enjoyed delivering quality patient care, often to very nervous and distressed patients and have always found this most rewarding.”
Evelyn Asante-Mensah, Chair, said: “The staff are truly our greatest asset and I would like to thank them for their continued hard work and dedication to delivering high quality, effective and safe services.
These awards help us to recognise and reward the compassion, skills and knowledge that they provide to make the NHS great.”
