Award success for Lisa
Congratulations to Lisa Hufton, Service Lead for the Rochdale borough Children's Acute and Ongoing Needs Service (acute), who has been shortlisted for a Greater Manchester Health and Care Champion Award.
Competition was fierce, as over 400 entries were received across 11 award categories. Lisa has been shortlisted within the 'Leader in Supporting Talent Development' category.
These are the first Greater Manchester-wide awards to recognise members of the NHS's paid and unpaid workforce who regularly go above and beyond to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Greater Manchester.
The awards have been organised by the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, with support from the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham.
The award categories recognise the different, but equally important, contributions people make, from unpaid carers to students and apprentices and from established leaders to rising stars.
All shortlisted nominations will now be considered by a judging panel and the winners announced at a sponsored event in July.
