Giving back to our nurses

Community nurse mainInternational Nurses’ Day is celebrated every year on 12 May. Our nurses work incredibly hard throughout the year to deliver the best patient care, often in very challenging circumstances.

In the 70th year of our NHS, instead of expecting something from our nurses, the Trust wants to give something back! We are inviting our nurses to a special thank you event on Friday 11 May 2018, from 10am to 4pm.

During the event, we plan to offer our hard working nurses health, wellbeing and pamper activities, along with a range of gifts and prizes.

The Trust has a small budget for the event, however we are hoping local businesses and organisations might be kind enough to offer some support.

Whether or not you’ve personally received care from the NHS, I hope you’ll agree that nurses work tremendously hard and are committed to providing high quality care to patients and their families. If you would like to, this is a great opportunity to say thank you.

We are particularly looking for donations of prizes – which may include things like gift baskets, bottles of wine or bath products, health, wellbeing or pamper sessions or vouchers for activities or experiences.

We’re also looking for people to come along on the day to offer our staff health, wellbeing and pamper sessions. Even if you can only stay for a short period, it would be very much appreciated.

We will ensure that all businesses that support this event receive a public thank you and acknowledgement.

If you’d like to support our event, or would like further information, please contact Julie Richardson on 0161 716 3574 or email julie.richardson@nhs.net

Thank you in advance for your support.
