Community Eating Disorder Service launch events

The Community Eating Disorder Service is holding two exciting events to officially launch the service.

The first event will take place at the North Hub (14 Tenterden Street, Bury, BL9 0EG) on Wednesday 8 November and the second event will take place at the South Hub (Grosvenor House, High Street, Stockport, SK1 1EG).

Both events will take place from 4-7pm, with the respective mayors of Bury and Stockport set to cut the ribbons at each to officially launch the service.

Children, young people and their families are invited to come along to see the hubs, meet the team, find out about the service and get involved in a range of activities.

These include:

  • Creative arts sessions
  • Beauty therapy
  • Sow the City - bee wax candle making
  • Balloon release (North event only)

GPs, health and social care professionals, or anyone else who works with a young person, can come along to find out about the service offer, referral criteria and training that’s available from the team.

The service provides specialist support and care for 8 to 18 year olds who live, or have a GP, in Bury, HMR or Oldham (North), and in Stockport, Tameside and Glossop, or Trafford (South).

It can also offer advice and support to families, carers and anyone who works with a child or young person.

Please click the links for copies of the North Hub invite and South Hub invite and share them with anyone who may be interested.

If you would like to attend the launch, please email or ring 0161 716 1560 (North) or 0161 716 4060 (South).
